We the undersigned urge Metrolinx and the Ontario provincial government to reinstate express service from Whitby GO station to Union Station as soon as possible. The savings each day could be as high as 40 minutes. That's 200 minutes per week.
Commuters would save as much as 166 hours of travel time per year.
Not only will a faster commute improve the quality of life for GO passengers living in Whitby and Durham Region, it will attract more riders for Metrolinx and reduce traffic congestion on the roads and highways.
